A Shared
Commitment
Our staff is committed
to the results you want and we need a similar commitment from you to
begin care. We need you to commit time and effort in order for our treatments
to make a significant impact. Many patients show visible results within
8-10 treatments, but most will be clearly impacted by the 5th week of
care at approximately 12-15 sessions. For best results, we require that
you commit to a minimum of 15 treatments. This first part of the program
is basic care for all patients, with minor variations based on individual
differences. For the remainder of the program, treatments become further
individualized to the patient’s needs.
For most patients the complete ADHD
program is 30 treatments, with a few requiring more (15%). The best
results are achieved through cooperation and trust. Without these initial
elements we do not proceed. The heart of this program is to challenge
those areas of the brain that function inadequately and to allow it
to perform at a new and effective level.
The learning process is the central
mechanism for change and without sufficient motivation on the patient’s
part we will see only partial results. Skepticism and negative regard
will significantly hurt the results and can be the primary cause of
another failure in the patient’s life. It needs to be understood
that there is no reason that the patient, irrespective of their prior
history, can’t master this simple process. Be opened minded. Don’t
allow past difficulties to create new ones.
