The Drake Institute was founded.
1982 - 1983
Completed 2 year study with Los Angeles Police
Department to help reduce stress diseases and disorders.
1984
Completed study with UCLA School of Medicine
on how our stress treatment strengthens the immune system.
1984 - 1985
Dr. David Velkoff, Medical Director, was the
medical consultant to the Los Angeles City Council’s committee
on reducing stress injuries in police officers.
1991
Completed joint study with UCLA School of Medicine
and Pasteur Institute in Paris on how The Drake Institute's stress
treatment strengthens the immune system.
1992
Drake’s ADD / ADHD Treatment Program
began.
1995
Dr. Velkoff was appointed associate editor
of Journal of Neurotherapy.
1997
The Drake Institute helped its first autistic
patient.
2000
The Drake Institute began treating patients
with auditory processing disorders and receptive / expressive
language deficits.
2005
The Drake Institute began to provide neurofeedback
treatment for substance abuse patients at the residential treatment
center, The Canyon in Malibu.

25 Year anniversary of the founding of
the Drake Institute
Drake has helped over
9000 patients with Stress Disorders-Diseases, ADD / ADHD, Auditory
/ Language Processing Disorders, Learning Disorders, and Autism
Spectrum Disorders.
