The Drake Institute of Behavioral Medicine & Medical Associates was established in 1980. Originally created to treat stress-related disorders, the Drake Institute is an innovative medical practice that employs the use of advanced treatment protocols that encourage and support the inherent healing resources of the body to resolve symptoms, normally without the use of drugs. Our record of clinical success far exceeds the outcomes of the existing therapies. Since 1992, we have expanded our patient population to include individuals with ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s Disorder, high-functioning autism, developmental language delays, and other learning disorders. We continue to treat patients with stress disorders. We have treated over 9,000 patients under the medical supervision of David Velkoff, M.D., M.A. the Drake Institute’s Medical Director.
